1.
In you I see 01:46
I see myself, in you When the lights dim You'll call this, my fairest hymn Oh When the lights, dim I'll see myself, out to the rain There's no going home Twice crossed my mind Never a word There's no good, luck in your charm I'm starting to learn To see myself, in you Oh when the lights, Dim
2.
Transit 03:09
Two weeks in transit coming home to you To my chagrin you've found another He quelled your fears over the fortnight spent A shroud of comforts bearing down on you None of the time I spent None of the words I said Made any difference in your resolve He takes his time to count me out While you obscure your view I too, dissolve None of the time I spent None of the words I said
3.
I found 03:30
I found, that your promises had drowned Carried, wth a weight on to the, down Varied, from the others not a bit But you, tell me it's so But you, tell me it's so There's no news in it I'm used to it There's no choosing it I'm used to it Don't you ever wonder what it's like To be, see through, every part of every stride Me too, even what is not to like Would I still feel the same? Would I still be the same? There's no news in it
4.
On a loop 06:15
Stuck on a loop Play it again Skin of my ears Is wearing thin Stay up till dawn Wondering again If everything changes Why am I worry bent oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh...oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh...oh Stuck on a loop Play it again When you come back What will I resent Sun in my eyes It don't make sense If everything changes Why am I worry bent oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh...oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh...oh Change coming down Moving so slow I can't make out Which way it goes
5.
Alone at last
6.
Worn thin 01:43
No more ground for you to walk on You've worn thin the soles of your shoes Searching for an end You've distanced your family and friends Always for that end So who am I Who am I Who am I Who am I
7.
Alone at last
8.
Give in 02:35
Friends would tell you otherwise But you know it must be Their cold hearts lay paralyzed All around me Should we give in Should we give in Should we give in Should we give in So your truth's been canonized In your heart your lies must stay All the while you have surmised To the fire with my name Should we give in Should we give in Should we give in Should we give in If you know what you want won't you please tell me I can't figure you out All on my own Should we give in
9.
In a rush of wind To raise your arms The sun upon your back Your mothers eyes You keep within your mind To raise your arms To raise your arms To raise your arms To rise again, you eat the light To be the sun, inside your eyes I wander vain, inside the night You'll keep me covered up by night To want again, who knows what's right We'll fall into each others eyes Too faint to fight, I guess you're right I'll make believe I know you're right The fall of night Hides all you feign for me And in your eyes It's all just make believe A reign, a night, a solemn fight To rise again, you hold it tight Too plain to fight, to realize The darkness comes before the light To want again, who knows what's right We'll fall into another slight Too faint to fight, I guess you're right I'l make believe, I know you're right The fall of night Hides all you feign for me And in your eyes It's all just make believe
10.
I don't know you It's been a week My how you've changed Since last seen And I hope it's all for the best Are you sure it's all for the best Down on your gold When you're down on your gold oh oh oh oh The more that I think The surer to be I never knew you All that well ah ah ah oh oh oh oh If the, change that You want to see Is the, one you Pave with your feet Then go ahead And I hope it's all for the best Are you sure it's all for the best Down on your gold When you're down on your gold

about

These are songs I've had in the works for some time. After finishing an album in the spring of 2017, I decided to follow my friend Erin Johnston's advice and record these extras and predecessors.

Not wanting to spend more time in front of a computer and tape machine, I tracked this demo on a handheld recorder in Golden Gate park on April 7, 2017. The recordings you hear are unpolished, the playing messy, and lets face it, all around crappy. But there's something about that, that I like, and maybe you do too.
